Welcome to Jennings Cafe!
Jennings Cafe opened its doors in 1958 by Omar Jennings Sr. He purchased Jennings after selling his previous fine dining restaurant called Pimlico Hotel. This establishment was located near the Pimlico race track. His son, Larry Jennings, was a horse trainer at Pimlico and several other tracks throughout the states. Horse racing is a part of the Jennings family tradition. Omar Sr. wanted to share with others his two favorite things, cooking and horse racing. He ran the business until 1965 when his son, Omar Jr., took over the reins. Omar Jr.’s son, Omar III, started working at the restaurant at a very young age and has been running Jennings ever since. He would work on the weekends and during the summers when he was not in school.
